E-INVOICING WITHOUT THE STRESS
E-invoicing with XRechnung, made easy.
A legal requirement can feel heavy. Mister James turns it into a calm daily workflow: create, receive, view, transfer and pay e-invoices in one friendly business system.
Ready in minutes. Built for small and mid-sized companies. Hosted in Germany.

The deadlines are closer than they feel.
Germany’s B2B e-invoicing rules are already changing everyday work. The good news: with the right system, preparation becomes practical.
Already today
Receiving e-invoices is already mandatory. Your company must be able to accept structured electronic invoices now.
From 1 January 2027
From 1 January 2027: companies with prior-year turnover of at least EUR 800,000 must issue e-invoices in B2B.
From 2028
One year later: all other B2B companies must issue structured e-invoices too. It is worth making the switch early.
Less chasing. More clean workflows.
E-invoicing is more than a German obligation. It is a simpler way to move business data through your company with fewer manual steps.
Faster processing
Invoices arrive as structured data, so they can move through your workflow faster and with less waiting.
Fewer errors
Less typing means fewer mistakes in amounts, addresses, due dates and invoice references.
Lower effort
Automation reduces repetitive work, lowers process costs and helps invoices get paid faster.
Safer records
Digital, structured invoices support audit safety, save paper and keep your accounting calmer.
Two formats. One clear direction.
In Germany, two names come up again and again: ZUGFeRD and XRechnung. For reliable automation, XRechnung is the format to understand.
ZUGFeRD
ZUGFeRD combines invoice information with a PDF container. It is one of the formats businesses may encounter during the transition.
XRechnung
XRechnung is pure structured XML. It is designed for reliable digital processing, with invoice data that software can read directly.
Why XRechnung works better.
XRechnung removes doubt from invoice data. Instead of asking people to interpret a visual document, it gives software a clear, structured source.
In Germany, XRechnung is also the standard for invoicing public authorities. Unlike regular ZUGFeRD invoices, which may not be accepted, XRechnung ensures compliance with the required public-sector invoicing format.
With Mister James, XRechnung invoices can also be sent as XRechnung only, without an additional PDF attachment. This significantly improves process reliability by eliminating the risk of discrepancies between a separately attached PDF and the actual structured invoice data. One invoice. One source of truth.
How Mister James handles e-invoices.
Create and send an invoice in Mister James. An XML file in XRechnung format is automatically sent along with the PDF.
When an XRechnung arrives by e-mail, the built-in inbox viewer lets you view it, transfer it directly into Expenses and make a bank transfer from there.
Send
Create the invoice once. Mister James adds the XRechnung XML automatically beside the PDF.
Receive
Open incoming XRechnung e-mails in the built-in viewer directly inside the e-mail inbox.
Pay
Transfer it into Expenses and start a bank transfer from the same workflow.
